One of the things that impressed me so when I was young and hearing about the Bible for the first time was the teaching on the absolute integrity of the Word of God.  That the Bible was God talking to me personally!  It was Him speaking to me and into my life, it was instruction on how to handle the affairs of life and it was absolutely infallible not matter what any human bing had experienced, what they reasoned or how they intellectually dismissed it.

I did not even realize until later in life that there are whole groups of people who think on some level that God wrote the Bible through men but it is pretty much just a group of stories or perhaps a history book of what God used to do.

If you are going to be successful in the Christian life, this kind of thinking cannot remain in your life!  According to the Bible, the Word of God is just as much a manifestation of God in the earth as God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit (John1:1)!

God never changes.  His WORD is forever settled.  He is the same, yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

God’s words created the heavens, the earth, and all that are in them, including man! His WORD hung the moon and the stars (Genesis 1:14-18; Psalm 8:3), and by Him all things are held together (Colossians 1:17). Psalm 33:9 says “For He spoke, and it was done: He commanded, and it stood fast.”

Glory to God HIs WORD is His bond!

Psalm 138:2 even says, “…for You have exalted Your word above all Your name” and His WORD upholds all things (Hebrews 1:2-3).

Jesus, through Whom God made the worlds – The WORD made flesh – who ratified the new covenant in His own blood, said, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away” (Matthew 24:35; Mark 13:31; Luke 21:33).

God’s WORD is forever settled!

And Hebrews 6:17-19, further establishing the steadfastness and unchangeableness of God’s WORD says, “So God, wanting to show more abundantly the immutability [unchangeableness] of HIs counsel to the heirs of promise, confirmed it by an oath. So that by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us.  We have this hope as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, which enters the Inner Place behind the veil.”

Notice the word forever. Psalm 37:18 says, “The Lord knows the days of people of integrity, and their inheritance shall be forever.”  Forever is our inheritance.  God’s WORD is not questioning or debating whether or not you are healed.  There is no committee meeting to verify whether the WORD will get you out of debt, protect your children, or provide for your needs.

NO!! The WORD is settled in heaven — FOREVER!

Your inheritance is settled in heaven forever, and in the midst of famine, terrorism, natural disaster, or plague, if you’ll get on the WORD, believe it and receive it, you can have what it says. You can rejoice all the way through those situations, hidden in the secret place, the shelter of the Most High (Psalm 91:1).  You’ll know that His WORD will uphold you, and there is no reason to be afraid (Psalm 23; 91:3).  You have HIs unchanging WORD. If it’s planted deeply into your heart, it will come out of your mouth in faith and sustain you in any situation.  Believe it, and enter into His rest on what He has already said about you and your situation.

Trouble or the WORD — the choice is yours!! (John 14:1-21)
