Jesus was appointed by God as the High Priest of our words – our profession, or confession, of faith.  The word profession is a Greek word that means “confession” or “to say the same thing.” As long as you and I are saying what Jesus says, God has sent and anointed Him to be High Priest over His WORD in our mouths!

He is not only appointed to the office but He is anointed to do it!

He is the Apostle and Hight Priest of our confession, with total authority in heaven and in earth (Matthew 28:18).  There is no circumstance, no power, no devil that can stop God, the One living inside of you.  There is no power that can stop the promises of His WORD coming to pass in your life when those promises come out of your mouth in faith.

All of heaven backs God’s words in YOUR mouth!

Psalm 103:20 says the the angels of the the Lord listen for the VOICE of His Word.  Actually, that word “hearken” not only means to listen to but it also denotes obedience.  They listen and DO His WORD when you give it voice by saying it out your mouth!

When you believe and speak God’s promises, your great High Priest and the angels of God go to work to bring it to pass.  Hebrews 1:14 says, “Are not the angels all ministering spirits (servants) sent out in the service [of God for the assistance] of those who are to inherit salvation?” [The Amplified Bible Classic Edition]

Mark 11:23-24 says the believer who will operate in this God kind of faith will have whatever he says.  Why?  Because the greater One inside him is taking hold with him together against the mountain that is in the way of his confession of faith before the Lord.  First John 4:4 says, “…He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”

A high priest brings into effect or causes to happen.  For example, the old covenant high priests offered a sin offering for the sins fo the people and for himself (Leviticus 4:3-21).  Once a year, on Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, he entered into the holy of holies behind the thick veil of the Jewish temple to stand before God with the blood of the atoning sacrifice to be sprinkled on the mercy seat (Exodus 25:17-22; Hebrews 9:1-7)

This action made the way for the sins fo the people to be atoned for, for another year.  Jesus, the Apostle (One sent from God) and High Priest of our confession, brings into effect, or causes to happen, what you believe and confess before the Lord in faith.  He is the sent One to see to it that it comes to pass.

How do you apply this?  Go to God’s WORD and find the promises that applies to your situation.  Put it in your mouth and in your heart.  Think about it (meditate on it), and continue to say it aloud in faith.  As you stay consistent and water your faith with praise and thanksgiving to your great High Priest.  His WORD will begin to renew your mind and paint the picture, or vision, of the answer.  Just like Abraham, to whom God gave the vision of the stars and the sand by the seashore to illustrate the number of his descendants, begin to see yourself with the answer.  With your consistent confession and the power of God’s faith inside you, you’ll see your answer brought from the unseen real into the natural, physical realm!
