Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward man!

This was the announcement the multitude of heavenly hosts made when Jesus was born into this earth all those many years ago and this month I would like to draw your attention to one very specific part of that glorious announcement.

Did you ever notice that the angels did not say “bad will” toward men? God’s will for your life is GOOD!

As a matter of fact, if you look up that phrase “good will” in the concordance of Greek words, it means “satisfaction, delight, kindness, desire and good pleasure.” I don’t see anything in there about sadness, depression, sickness, poverty, disaster or despair!

We get an even clearer view of His will for our lives over in 1 Timothy chapter two.

“For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” – 1 Timothy 2:3-4 KJV

If you have been following this ministry for any length of time at all, you know that any time we see the words “save, saved or salvation” that we “stop, translate and meditate!”

“So, this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who’s will is to have ALL men be delivered, protected, healed, preserved, be made whole and do very well in life!”

All of those descriptions are packed into that tiny Greek word sozo which is translated “saved” in this and many other passages throughout the New Testament.

This is His good will for every man, woman, boy and girl on planet earth and that is what all the heavenly angels were shouting about on that clear, crisp night in Bethlehem!

Just knowing that this is His will and desire for us is so wonderful; but that protection, healing, deliverance and prosperity doesn’t just “happen” in people’s lives because it is His will. Anyone with one eye and half sense can look around and see that these things are not happening in people’s lives to any large extent.

The next step in the process of these things becoming a reality in our lives is found in the book of Colossians.

“For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;”– Colossians 1:9 KJV

Here we see that full, working knowledge of His good will is accomplished through wisdom and spiritual understanding. This is vitally important! I remind you that the wisest human ever to live on the planet, other than Jesus Himself, told us in Proverbs 4:7 that wisdom is the principal thing – not A principal thing but THE principal thing!

As you know, if you are a Covenant Partner with us, this is one of the scriptures listed at the end of every Partner letter that we pray over you every day and this is why we do it!

There is one last thing about this process that you must know. It is not difficult to get this wisdom that produces the reality of your entire salvation package – His good will for your life. All you have to do is ask for it! BUT you must ask for it by faith!

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” – James 1:5-8 KJV

Glory to God! He just gave us the equation that produces the physical reality of healing, protection, deliverance and prosperity in every area of our lives!

We understand this is His will for us then we gain knowledge of how it works in our lives through wisdom. And we get that wisdom by asking for and receiving it by faith! We know that the wisdom has already been made available to us if we are born again because Jesus has been MADE unto us wisdom according to 1 Corinthians 1:30 KJV. Now it is just a matter of walking it out!

If you will excuse me, I think I’ll shout with the angels for a minute, “Glory to God in the highest and on earth, peace and His good will toward us!”

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
