Let’s look at two of the primary laws that provide for our exemption from the poverty, debt, lack, inflation, recession and depression that the laws of sin and death attempt to bring to this world’s economy.

I remind you that we are citizens of the kingdom of Heaven now, not someday in the future (Philippians 3:20 AMPC). Not only citizens, but we have been sent as Ambassadors into the world (2 Corinthians 5:20). And, as Ambassadors, we have the right to enjoy diplomatic immunity in this earth based upon the laws of our kingdom.

Let’s refresh our memory by looking at Romans 8:2 and James 1:21-25 KJV.

“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” – Romans 8:2 KJV

“Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: for he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.” – James 1:21-25 KJV

Both the word “free” in Romans and the word “liberty” in James are the same Greek word eleutheros and is literally translated “as a citizen, not a slave. Exempt from liability or obligation.” James points out that our law of exemption is the Word of God and, indeed, that is exactly what Jesus said when He was on the earth.

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” – John 8:31-32 KJV

Yep, that word “free” is that same Greek word! We know from John 17:17 that the truth Jesus is talking about here is the Word of God!

So, what exactly are the specific laws within the Word that provide for our financial exemption? Turn over to Genesis chapter one.

“And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.” – Genesis 1:11-12 KJV

I want to draw your attention to the phrase “after his kind.” The Holy Spirit uses this phrase ten times in the creation description! I do believe He is making a point!

A seed will ALWAYS produce after his kind! You will never plant a tomato seed and harvest an apple tree from that seed!

Come over to the new covenant and you’ll find the same law described in Galatians chapter six.

“Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” – Galatians 6:6-7 KJV

Now, let’s look at a 2nd law related to seeds.

“While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” – Genesis 8:22 KJV

Now look down at the ground. Yep, the earth is still here!  Therefore, the law of seed-time and harvest is still in effect!

Let’s look now at a Scriptural example of what we’re talking about. Turn to Luke 8:1-3 KJV.

“And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him, and certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils, and Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.” – Luke 8:1-3 KJV

Now let’s read verse 3 in the Amplified Classic translation.

“And Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod’s household manager; and Susanna; and many others, who ministered to and provided for Him and them out of their property and personal belongings.” – Luke 8:3 AMPC

And now let’s read it in the Passion Translation.

“Joanna, the wife of Chusa, who managed King Herod’s household. Many other women who supported Jesus’ ministry from their own personal finances also traveled with him.” – Luke 8:3 TPT

These women were sowing into the kingdom of God by giving their personal finances to support Jesus and His team while they went into every city and village preaching and demonstrating the Word! Jesus immediately began teaching on the law of sowing and reaping in verse four!

And, we know from His teaching in Mark 10:29-30 exactly what these women harvested from sowing their finances and possessions for the sake of the preaching of the gospel!

“Jesus said, Truly I tell you, there is no one who has given up and left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands for My sake and for the Gospel’s Who will not receive a hundred times as much now in this time–houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions–and in the age to come, eternal life.” – Mark 10:29-30 AMPC

In times when the world is experiencing economic hardship, when the economists are talking of recessions and depressions, when the gas pumps tell you that you can’t afford a tank of gas, when eggs cost more than they ever have, it is time to stand fast in your financial laws of exemption (Galatians 5:1 KJV) and apply the law of faith in these laws by speaking back to the TV, the gas pumps and the eggs!

“No, bless God, you are NOT too expensive for me! I have sown financial seeds into the preaching of the gospel and I have financial harvest now! The Word of God, my laws of exemption, have made me exempt from financial lack and insufficiency and have made me victorious in these things! Satan, I bind you from interfering in any way and ministering spirits, angels of God, I loose you – go bring in my harvest today in Jesus name!”

We love you very much and always remember, Jesus is Lord!
