Jesus came for one purpose. What do you think it was? Was it to establish the church? Was it to give us a specific moral code by which we should govern our conduct? Thankfully, we don’t have to wonder or guess as to the reason Jesus came to this earth. He told us out of His very own mouth.

“Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” – John 10:7-11 KJV

Jesus came to give ANY man who will enter in LIFE!

Why? Because He is the GOOD Shepherd!

Let’s look at verse ten in the Amplified Classic Translation of the Bible.

“The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” – John 10:10 AMPC

Jesus’ purpose in coming to this earth was so that we would not only be able to have but also to enjoy abundant, overflowing LIFE! The God kind of life! The very nature of God Himself. The thing that makes God God!

Look with me at John 1:1-4 KJV, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.”

In Jesus is LIFE! It is His nature and it is the light, the development, of men! The Holy Ghost, through the Apostle Paul, tells us in 2 Peter chapter 1 that we have been made partakers of that same nature!

grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, according as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” – 2 Peter 1:2-4 KJV

Did you see that?! He HAS given us already ALL things that pertain unto LIFE and Godliness! He HAS already given us great and precious promises in the Word! Why? So that we are partakers of the Divine nature! THE NATURE OF GOD HIMSELF!!

My Lord and my God, look at that again! He has already given you everything necessary to have and experience the same life force inside YOU that makes Him impervious to sin, sickness, disease and death!

How ridiculous it would be to think about covid-19 or cancer or any other sickness or disease to exist in Jesus’ body today! How ridiculous it would be to think of Jesus living in poverty, failure and defeat. How ridiculous it would be to think of Jesus living in depression, despair and fear.

It is just that ridiculous to think those things about yourself! It is not in His nature to be susceptible to those things and it is not in OUR nature! Our nature is the LIFE of God!

Greater is the LIFE of God that is in us than the death and destruction – the stealing, killing and destroying – that is in the world!

If you are not experiencing the fullness of this abundant life yet, don’t get discouraged. Allow me to remind and encourage you in two things.

In order to prevent our lives from simply following along with and conforming to whatever is going on in the world, we must be continually renewing our way of thinking to line up with thoughts conducive to life. Thoughts of the Word. (Romans 12:2 and Joshua 1:8)

Secondly, as you are studying and listening to THE Words of life in the process of renewing your mind, your spirit is being fed and faith is coming for abundant, overflowing life.

As faith comes, however, it must be applied and this is precisely how we, as born again believers, are able to live lives of total victory – to reign IN LIFE as kings! The Scriptures spell it out very clearly for us in Romans 1:17 and Galatians 2:20.

“For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” – Romans 1:17 KJV

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” – Galatians 2:20 KJV

Life more abundantly, to the full, ‘til it overflows is yours TODAY! It has been given to you already  and it is brought into manifestation in this earth BY FAITH!

Glory to God! He gave us the “keys to the bank” as the saying goes!

Lynn and I love you so much and pray for you continually!
